Electromagnetic Fields and Photonics Group
Fabio Baronio was born in Brescia (Italy). In March 2001, he received the Laurea degree (BS, MS) in Electronic Engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Brescia, Italy. In April 2005, he received the PhD degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy. From March 2005 to April 2015, he was Researcher in Electromagnetic Fields at the University of Brescia. From May 2015, he is Associate Professor in Electromagnetic Fields at the University of Brescia.
In the periods 2007-2010 and 2010-2012, he was elected Delegate in the Board of Directors of the University of Brescia. In the period 2012-2015, he was elected Delegate of the Academic Senate of the University of Brescia.
The scientific research activity of Fabio Baronio deals with Electromagnetism and Photonics. He has authored or co-authored more than 150 papers and conference contributions. He coordinated projects funded by the Italian Ministry for Scientific Research and worked in the framework of projects granted by the European Community.
In September 2010, he was awarded the Gaetano Latmiral Prize by the Italian Society of Electromagnetism. He is member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and of the Italian Society of Electromagnetism (SIEM).
Fabio Baronio maintains partnerships with operators in the field of Electromagnetic Health and Safety of Workers and Population.
